Drama club starts in September
Classes for 7-11's and 11-14 year olds
The SPACe drama club is a fun filled opportunity to develop skills including physical theatre, devising, and immersive theatre.
The club will meet in the theatre at SPACe after school on Mondays commencing 15th September 2025. At the end of each ten-week term there will be a presentation of the skills learnt for parents and friends. The cost is £100 per term. (We are able to offer assisted places to some children, contact us for more information.)
Emma Hart our course leader graduated from Drama Studio London. She teaches LAMDA courses for schools and companies locally. Emma also works with students with Special Educational Needs within a school setting and privately.
As a professional actor, Emma has worked on a variety of projects including 'Romeo and Juliet' (number one theatre tour of Italy), 'Gone to the Dogs', and her one woman show which she wrote, produced and performed at the Camden Fringe Festival, receiving a five-star review.

The story so far
SPACe stands for Southdown Performing Arts Centre and is based in the former Southdown Methodist Chapel.
We have held a quiz, a touring theatre production, Songs from the Musicals afternoon, a Christmas Nativity show and a Ceilidh!
Our Jazz Evening was sold out and we have just held our first Holiday Drama Club for 7-11 year olds. See our gallery page for photos.
